As it is currently used to rent to people for special occassions, we knew that it may be hard to get some time to film there. However, due to our bad time management and no response from the shelter, we were unable to film at the idyllic location.ĭue to a group member living in a remote village in the countryside, we were actually able to find an old fashioned hall called The Roaches Hall. Initially we decided that we would like to film at Stockport Air Raid Shelters, as the location would be ideal to contribute to the mise-en-scene within the trailer. Having the table whilst we filmed proved to be extremely useful as we were able to identify any potential hazards and risks, and then knew what action we were going to take to make sure that no accidents occured. We used this table to take with us whilst filming. In order to make sure that the filming process was safe and ran smoothly, we created a risk assessment table. Having already planned out what shots we were intending to capture, it made the filming process a lot more simple as we knew which shots we had to film. This careful attention to detail regarding our shot choice was extremely useful as it supplemented our animatics. They allow the teaser trailer to be engaging yet narrative and some of the shots challenge the conventions of real media products. We chose these specific shot framing/angle and construction, as we believe that they are the most suitable in terms of revealing the genre and narrative to our intended audience.
Extreme close up shot (shot ten, sixteen, eighteen).
